Sinclair , Declan, and Fiona Coyne , and becomes involved with George and his band. In an attempt to cheer up Spinner, Emma, Manny , and Jay "kidnap" him, and take him to a casino hotel at Niagara Falls.

After some successful games of blackjack, Emma and Spinner become drunk, and wake up the following morning, not remembering what had happened. They find out that they spent their winnings on a legal marriage, and an ugly, nonreturnable ring. In the following days they become closer to each other, and begin to think that they may not get a divorce.

Darcy and Spinner break up as a result. Emma is dating Peter who spread the video of Manny flashing and this causes a rift between the friends. Luckily they become friends again.

Darcy lets Manny back onto the spirit squad as a choreographer and they need money for new uniforms. This results in some fun photos being taken and them posted online. Ofcourse this doesn't end well either.

Craig comes by to visit, and it becomes clear he is addicted to cocaine. Manny first wants to try it as well but soon realises it is a very destructive path he's on. She breaks up with him. Manny uses Liberty's birthday as a reason to throw a party, resulting in the stabing and death of JT. Manny blames herself. Manny starts dating Damian, which doesn't last long and they break up soon after. Manny supports Darcy after she gets raped while on a snowboarding trip.

Darcy almost commits suicide but Manny finds her in time. Manny turns 18, and her parents want to throw her a traditional philipino party. They also want her to dance with her cousin. Manny doesn't want this, obviously, and finds help in Jay. They become a couple, with ups and downs. This even results into a fake engagement - then into a real engagement - and then they break up. Manny gets a starring role in the show West Drive, but decides to give it up to attend Smithdale University.

Manny and Emma are now attending university. Emma has a room mate called Kelly. Kelly turns out to be a guy, and Emma fixes this, but Manny doesn't seem to be too happy about this.

Although they met in the fourth season, Paige and Alex hated each other at first. Paige obtained a job at a movie theater working right next to Alex. Over time, the two girls became friends, and after kissing, they started dating.

The first kiss between Paige and Alex initiated a couple that saved the show and probably kept fans around. It made Paige question herself, but the relationship that blossomed showed that you can become friends with an enemy and quite possibly even afall in love.

The show did a great job of slowly deepening the friendship between the two before they engaged in a loving relationship. This slow build-up gave the couple the tools to have a wonderful foundation. But they got back together until season 7, when Alex permanently broke up with Paige because their career plans were on different paths.

The first time Owen shows interest in Anya, he makes the situation awkward and uncomfortable for her. Not the best way to show a girl you like them. In the 10th season, Owen kept touching her arm and flirting with her.

Anya informed Owen she would never like him or be with him like that. There were plenty of hurdles between them, like their major differences in personalities. He started their relationship by blackmailing her into a date and facilitating her bad judgment when they were together.

How their relationship started and how he treated it after Anya left for the Army showed viewers how not to care for a significant other. Although the two dated off and on through season 5, they tried to maintain a successful relationship twice. One thing we learned with this couple is that, despite the opposite tropes the writers gave them, Spinner and Darcy had compatible values. Spinner was the typical bad-boy, while Darcy was the goody two-shoes. She almost did but admitted to Spinner what had happened.

Spinner stands up for her by fighting Jay - the one who convinced Darcy. The problem wasn't just that they got together, but the reasons the relationship started and ended in the first place. That relationship started in the third season because of an affair. Craig was seeing Ashley Kerwin at the time but lied to Manny.

He had said his relationship with Ashely was done. Craig and Manny consummated their feelings, and Manny became pregnant that night because of confusion on using protection. With a third attempt at love, Craig and Manny almost lasted a full season, but in season 6, Craig found using illegal substances more important than Manny and broke up with her.
